Art Fair Preview, July 15

It’s Art Fair time! The Ann Arbor Art Fair is a collective of four award-winning art fairs that take place every July in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan. The event attracts over 500,000 visitors annually. The 2015 Art Fair will take place July 15-18, 2015. Together, the fairs attract over 500,000 attendees from across the nation.  The Original Fair was named the Number One Art Fair in the country by AmericanStyle Magazine readers survey (October 2004) and has made the Top Ten Fairs and Festivals list every year since.

In addition to art exhibits, the fair also features music performances and Art Activity Zones, which are family-oriented stops offering special projects designed to engage and challenge even the youngest of fairgoers. Ann Arbor's downtown restaurants and retailers add to the festivities by tempting sidewalk sales and outdoor dining.

Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, The Original is the oldest of the four Ann Arbor Art Fairs and was established in 1960 by collaboration between the Ann Arbor Art Association, the University of Michigan, and two business groups. This fair is held around the Burton Carillon Tower, a clock tower on the central campus of the University of Michigan, and features almost 200 artists, along with a number of other hands-on activities and performances.

Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair transforms Ann Arbor's Main Street area into an impressive outdoor art festival showcasing the best in fine art and fine crafts. This award-winning, juried fair features ceramics, painting, jewelry, sculpture, photography, glass, wood, fiber and much more! Fairgoers can also enjoy lively street corner entertainment, artists’ demonstrations, children’s activities and the distinctive shops and restaurants of Ann Arbor.

State Street Area Art Fair is a nationally recognized and award winning art fair that combines the talents of 325 artists with a host of merchant displays along the vibrant streets of Ann Arbor's campus area.

Ann Arbor's South University Art Fair features almost 150 artists and is where the past meets the future. Cutting edge creations blend with traditional styles, and local and international artists combine to produce the unmistakable flavor that epitomizes the youngest of the Ann Arbor Art Fairs. Great ethnic restaurants, hip and quirky stores, and plenty of easy access parking at the Forest Parking Deck make South U. the best possible starting place for your Art Fair adventure.
