Metro Elevator Co., Inc., formed a national corporate partnership, known as Ride the Pink Elevator, with Susan G Komen ® to raise funds for breast cancer awareness and research. Painting certain elevators the signature Komen pink, Metro Elevator then partners with their clients, top builders and general contractors on select projects in major US cities, to raise funds to support Komen. 618 South Main is the first national pink elevator Metro has installed, and the fundraising efforts will run through April 15, 2015. 618 South Main and its development team were the first to commit to this community initiative by committing $10,000 to the cause as well as creating a Facebook ® "like" campaign. Starting with an initial donation of $6,180, the Developers of 618 South Main will donate an additional $1 for every "like" 618 South Main receives through April 15, 2015 (up to 3820 new likes) to the Ride the Pink Elevator fundraising effort. These efforts are in addition to several campaigns designed to help the environment and surrounding community.
Ride the Pink Elevator
So, what about the pink elevator? If you are driving by the site, you
will be able to see a pink elevator and a beacon of pink light coming
from the site. 618 South Main's development team has partnered with
Clayco, Inc., Metro Elevator Co., and Susan G. Komen ® to launch the
Ride the Pink Elevator
campaign. Seen as a fundraising ambassador for a cause that everyone
has been touched by in some way, the converted construction elevator can
be viewed in its brilliant, vibrant pink glory on the 618 South Main
