The infrastructure of 618 South Main
has moved quickly from a hole in the ground to an actual structure with
construction crews working on building the framework that will support
studio, one-bedroom, one-bedroom deluxe, and two-bedroom environmentally
friendly apartment homes. According to Rob Williams, Senior Project
Manager for Clayco, Inc (the contractor for 618 South Main), the main goal is to get the
building enclosed for the winter. Phase two will see the precast
concrete building shell continue to be erected as the walls and flooring
are completed.
618 South Main continues to gain an impressive list of interested
renters as the building has taken form. 618 South Main is scheduled to
begin pre-leasing mid-February 2015, and the first move-ins will be
welcomed in the summer of 2015. The development team continues to focus
on being the first LEED Silver Certified apartment complex in Ann Arbor.
